New Advancements in Autism Assessment and Intervention

Carlos Gadia, MD, is a board-certified Pediatric Neurologist located in Weston, Florida. He graduated in 1980 from the Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Dr. Gadia completed his residency in Neurology and Pediatric Neurology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in 1987. He did his fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology / Epilepsy at Boston Children’s Hospital-Harvard Medical School in 1987-88 and served as an Instructor at Harvard Medical School (1988).

Dr. Gadia was a Clinical Assistant Professor of Neurology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine (retired), a Clinical Associate Professor of Neurology at the Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine (retired), and a Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine (retired). He was also one of the founders and past Associate-Director of the Dan Marino Center – Nicklaus Children’s Hospital (1998 to 2022).

Dr. Gadia lectures extensively nationally and internationally (over 300 conferences given over the past 24 years). He has participated in several Autism NGOs in Brazil and in Latin America, either as a Medical Director or a member of their Scientific Committees.
